Call for Submissions
Raison d’Être Collective invites individuals from any field or background to make submissions to its first publication. The theme of Issue 1 is “reason for being.”
Words / images / graphics / diagrams / text / photos / illustrations / video / sounds / drawings / ideas are accepted.
Submission deadline: November 1, 2013
Publication date: December 21, 2013
Eligibility: Open to all individuals.
Theme: The French phrase “raison d’être” translates to “reason for being” or “reason for existence.” Contributors are encouraged to interpret the phrase openly and creatively. Entries may come from individuals or groups, and the theme need not be interpreted literally.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions are accepted via email and should be addressed to submissions@rdecollective.com. Submissions received after the posted deadline will not be considered for the current publication issue.
Vector graphics must be submitted digitally in .ai, .eps, or .pdf formats. Fonts used must be included in the file package. Images must be submitted digitally in .tiff or .jpeg formats, CMYK, 300dpi. Text submissions must be 2000 words or less, not including the title, author, and image credits. All text (including footnotes and list of illustrations) should be submitted in Word format.
All contributions must be original works of the individual who provided the submission. It is the responsibility of the individual to secure the right to publish any images, graphics, or other content that is not original. Copyrights for submitted and published work will remain in the possession of the individual who provided the submission. Raison d’Être reserves the right to modify, format, edit, and publish submissions, and reprint it in future editions or anthologies.
Individuals will be notified if their submission is chosen for the publication.
