The University of Florida will be hosting the annual South Eastern Graduate Philosophy Conference (SEGPC) in the spring from Friday February 28th through Saturday March 1st, 2014. SEGPC is a national philosophy conference organized by the Graduate Student Philosophy Society of the University of Florida. Conference sessions are free and open to the public.
We are very fortunate to have as our keynote speaker Dr. Joseph Levine from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and as our capstone speaker Dr. Greg Ray from the University of Florida.
We welcome the submission of papers of high quality in any area of philosophy. The deadline for submissions is Friday January 17th, 2014. Paper Submissions should adhere to the following guidelines:
(1) Submissions should be sent via email to cue.e.dee@gmail.com (please include “SEGPC SUBMIT” in subject).
(2) The body of the email should contain the following information:
a. Author’s name
b. Title of the paper
c. Institutional Affiliation
d. Contact information (email, phone number, mailing address)
e. The word count of the paper
f. The area of the paper (e.g., philosophy of mind)
(3) Attached in either Microsoft Word or Rich Text format should be a paper of no more than 4,500 words preceded by an abstract of no more than 200 words.
(4) Papers should be submitted in blind review format. Please omit any self-identifying information within the abstract and body of the paper.
