Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy seeks qualified candidates for an appointment as Lecturer, beginning Fall 2023. The Department of Philosophy has 38 full-time faculty serving 174 majors and is located on the university’s Lakeshore Campus. The candidate should have demonstrated record of excellence as a teacher and mentor in philosophy. We have a particular interest in candidates who can teach Philosophy of Science courses at the introductory and upper-division undergraduate levels). Teaching duties will be introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses. Job duties will also include service work and advising and mentoring of students.
Qualifications
Requirements include PhD in Philosophy at the time of appointment. The candidate also should be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education.
