The Kent State University Philosophy Department is pleased to announce its 32nd Annual Philosophy Graduate Student Conference in Remembrance of May 4th, 1970. This conference will take place in-person, on March 1, 2025. We are excited to have Dr. Edward Casey (Stony Brook University) as our keynote speaker this year.
We invite submissions from current graduate students on any philosophical topic and from any research tradition in philosophy. All submitted papers should: (i) not exceed 3,000-words, (ii) be prepared for blind review, and (iii) be accompanied by a separate page that includes paper title and author information (name, affiliation, and contact information).
We especially encourage submissions from members of underrepresented groups, including, but not limited to: people of color, women, queer and gender non-conforming people, people from economically disadvantaged groups, and people with disabilities.
Local transportation and limited overnight accommodations with Kent State graduate students will be offered (available accommodations will be allocated first-come, first-served). A buffet lunch, including vegan and vegetarian options, will be provided free of charge for all speakers. This event is open to the public and free to attend.
The deadline for submissions is: November 10, 2024.
All submissions and inquiries should be emailed to Karl Palomino Flores (he/him): kpalomin@kent.edu
