Call for Papers: Society for Existential and Phenomenological Theory and Culture

The 2019 meeting of the Society for Existential and Phenomenological Theory and Culture (EPTC) will be held in the first week of June at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, in conjunction with the annual Congress of the Canadian Federation for the Social Sciences and Humanities.

Interested authors should submit the following electronically in .doc, .docx, or .rtf format:

– a copy of your paper, not more than 4000 words, and prepared for anonymous review
– a separate abstract, not more than 100 words, also listing the paper’s title, author’s name, complete mailing address, institutional affiliation, and e-mail address

To ensure high standards of scholarship, all submissions are subject to double-blind review. Accepted authors will have thirty minutes to present their paper, followed by a ten-minute commentary and a twenty-minute discussion period.

While we strongly prefer complete papers, we will also consider long abstracts (750-1000 words, plus bibliography). Please prepare this for anonymous review, and submit along with a separate cover sheet listing the title, author’s name, address, etc. Please also include a short CV, and note that if accepted, complete papers will be due by April 1, 2019.

The submission deadline for the above materials is January 7, 2019. Submissions should be sent to: eptc.tcep@gmail.com.
