CFA/CFP: Simone Weil (1909-1943): Receptions and Actuality
“Labyrinth: An International Journal for Philosophy, Value Theory and Sociocultural Hermeneutics” is preparing a special issue on the the occasion of the 80th death anniversary of Simone Weil (1909-1943). Of special interest are new readings and discussions dealing with the main topics of Weil’s Philosophy as for example:
• The sources of Simone Weil’s philosophical and religious thought
• Natural and supernatural
• Origin and diversity of the religions
• Materialism, religious experience and mystical thought
• Ethics and aesthetics: the good and the beautiful
• Happiness, suffering, and unhappiness
• Love, truth, and justice
• Freedom, obedience, oppression
• Violence and non-violence, war and peace
• The worker‘s condition and capitalism critique
• Ecological issues
• Receptions and influences of Simone Weil’s thought
Researchers working in the field of Simone Weil’s philosophical and religious thought are invited to submit a brief abstract until the 15 of February 2023 with a brief biographic information including name, academic affiliation, and main publications.
Authors who have already a finished unpublished paper are welcome to submit it within the abstract in order to help the peer review and the publishing process. Papers in their final form, i.e. proof read, formatted according to the journal guidelines, and print ready, should be submitted no later than the 30 of July 2023.
