American Dialectic is a peer-reviewed journal designed to develop a more robust understanding of important philosophical issues by promoting enhanced discussion. Scholarly articles covering both timeless philosophical themes as well as recent philosophical developments are published and followed by substantial, edited questions and responses.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: American Dialectic is currently inviting submissions on the development and significance of existentialism and phenomenology, and particularly on those thinkers who engage with the history of philosophy to reveal the full weight of their positions. The range of topic is open, including treatments of philosophers such as Kierkegaard, Sartre, Husserl, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty and Levinas, discussions of post-Heideggerian developments, and the relation between modern and contemporary phenomenology and early modern thinkers like Descartes and Kant.
All submissions should be e-mailed directly to Submissions@AmericanDialectic.org in MS Word or RTF formats. Manuscripts should be prepared for blind review, and should include a brief abstract on the title page along with your name, contact information, and institutional affiliation. All submissions will receive an e-mail confirmation upon receipt, and authors will be subsequently notified of the status of their submission.
