CFP Trans Philosophy Project

The Trans Philosophy Project supports “trans philosophy” – that is, philosophical work that is accountable to and illuminative of transgender experiences, histories, cultural production, and politics. In this special session, hosted at the annual SPEP meeting (October 31, 2019, 9am-12pm, Pittsburgh, PA), we will showcase contributions to trans philosophy from a variety of philosophical traditions, including continental philosophy, feminist philosophy, philosophies of race, disability studies, and indigenous philosophy.

Please submit abstracts of 250-500 words to transphilosophyproject@gmail.com by May 3, 2019. Feel free to contact the co-organizers Perry Zurn (pzurn@american.edu) or Andrea Pitts (apitts5@uncc.edu) with any questions.
