Duquesne’s Middle Voices CFP: Levinas Special Issue Spring 2021

Middle Voices is a journal of scholarly research published by the Department of Psychology at Duquesne University. As part of Duquesne’s longstanding tradition in human science psychology, the journal is concerned with cross-disciplinary intersections that inform our understanding of self and world. We are seeking original submissions for a special issue on Emmanuel Levinas, to be released in the Fall of 2021. We invite submissions that turn toward the philosophy of Levinas for a philosophical basis in thinking through a broad range of issues within Psychology.

Suggested topics for articles include (but are not limited to):
+Levinasian implications for the study of psychopathology
+Levinasian ethics in the psy- disciplines & psychotherapy
+The phenomenology of ethics in world and social contexts
+The paradoxes of power and weakness in the intersubjective & interpersonal
Submission Requirements:
+Max. 7,500 words, double-spaced pages
+ APA formatting
