Foucault Circle Meeting 2020: Call for Papers

CALL FOR PAPERS

The twentieth annual meeting of the Foucault Circle

Copenhagen Business School
Copenhagen, Denmark
June 25-28, 2020

We invite proposals for individual papers and roundtable discussions (4-5 panelists) on any aspect of Foucault’s work. Studies, critiques, and applications of Foucauldian thinking are all welcome. We will aim for a diversity of topics and perspectives. Individual paper submissions require an abstract of no more than 750 words; roundtable submissions require a 500-word abstract describing the overall theme and 150-word summaries of each panelist’s talking points. All submissions should be formatted as a “.doc” or “.docx” attachment, prepared for anonymous review, and sent via email to the attention of program committee chair Lauren Guilmette (leguilmette@gmail.com) on or before December 16, 2019. Indicate “Foucault Circle Submission” in the subject heading. Program decisions will be announced by the end of January 2020.

Presenters will have approximately 40 minutes for paper presentation and discussion combined; individual papers should be a maximum of 3500 words (20-25 minutes reading time). Roundtable discussions will be no longer than 120 minutes, and must plan on leaving at least 20 minutes for discussion.

Logistical information about lodging, transportation, and other arrangements will be available after the program has been announced.
