Submission deadline: February 1.
Decisions will be notified by February 25.
A prize of $200 will be awarded to the best submission.
We encourage graduate students to submit papers related to their current research. We will also consider exceptional papers from undergraduate students.
This is an open themed event. In keeping with the pluralistic commitment of the LSU department, we invite papers that reflect the full diversity of philosophical traditions, including analytic, continental, critical race, gender and queer studies. We will give special consideration to papers that complement the speakers’ areas of specialization including: 19th and 20th century continental philosophy, critical philosophy of race, social and political philosophy, philosophy of science, philosophy of mathematics, and philosophy of logic.
Presentation time slots will be 30 minutes with an additional 15 minutes for Q&A led by a graduate student
Papers should be up to 4,000 words and submitted as a .doc or .pdf file. Please also include a separate document with your name, institutional affiliation, email address, the paper title, a word count, and an abstract of no more than 300 words.
